Dax grew up in the Dallas/Fort Worth area before attending college at Murray State University on a golf scholarship. After receiving his Bachelor's degree at Murray State, he continued his education by obtaining his Doctorate in Jurisprudence at the Texas Tech University School of Law. Dax then accepted a position as prosecutor with the Dallas County District Attorney's office. He spent three years as a prosecutor with the Dallas County District Attorney's office before joining Martin Financial Group in 2004. It was his time in the Dallas County District Attorney's office famed Specialized Crime Division prosecuting white collar cases, and prosecuting securities fraud cases specifically, that led Dax to change his career path and enter the financial services industry.

Dax entered the financial services industry because of his strong desire to help individuals, families & businesses work towards achieving their financial goals. Dax joined Martin Financial Group because of the firm's ability to provide him with outstanding resources and support, as well as an enjoyable work atmosphere.

Dax has his Series 7, 24 & 66 registrations as well as his Texas Life, Accident & Health license. Dax is also licensed to practice law in the State of Texas.

Dax lives in Grapevine with his wife Stephanie and their two mischievous children Ty and Sydney. When not helping his clients, or chasing his kids around the yard, Dax enjoys sneaking off for the occasional round of golf.
